The story of the domain
Originally, Blanche Fleur was a 15th-century mill powered by the currents of the Sorgues, the surrounding rivers that originate from the resurgence of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, just 25 km from here. The estate itself forms a peninsula, surrounded by the river that remains between 12 and 13 degrees Celsius year-round.
The mill was operated by monks who initially worked with sheep’s wool and later with paper pulp. These monks needed a place for prayer, which led to the construction of the small chapel “Notre Dame de Blanche Fleur,” after which the estate is named. In 1691, the chapel was restored and consecrated, allowing us to celebrate baptisms and weddings there.
The Bastide, which now houses the guest rooms, dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. When Marie-Claude and Gilles, the current owners, purchased the estate in 1997, it was in ruins. They gradually restored it, transforming it into the beautiful guest house it is today.
An estate lovingly and
devotedly restored
Upon arriving at the estate, Marie Claude and Gilles fell madly in love with it and decided to make it the work of a lifetime: to rebuild the estate stone by stone, day by day, while preserving the soul and beauty of this historic place.
After several years of continuous effort, all the iconic spaces are now open to the public (the Bastide, the Orangerie, the Pool, the Gardens, and since 2021, the Workshop and the Barn), allowing hundreds of couples to celebrate their unions in this preserved environment.
A place dedicated to your
most beautiful memories
The idea of hosting weddings was born out of the necessity to create a commercial activity that would finance the restoration and maintenance of the estate while preserving the soul and beauty of this historic place.
The Blanche Fleur domain is now a family home, filled with memories and magic, run by a team of passionate individuals who make your dreams come true while fulfilling their own. It is in this familial spirit that you will be guided step by step in organizing your most beautiful memories, no matter the type of event.
